2024-2032 Strategic Vision for the Coalition

Strategic Goals and Objectives:

Goal 1: Recruit & Retain Members

Objectives:

  • Recruit diverse leaders who are committed to the mission of racial justice and equal access.

  • Provide leadership development opportunities and training for committee chairs.

  • Ensure representation from both Black and Jewish communities in leadership positions.

  • Attract a diverse membership base that reflects the broader community.

  • Implement outreach and engagement strategies to retain active committee members.

  • Identify and engage individuals who can advocate for the coalition's mission in various contexts.

  • Develop advocacy training programs to empower advocates.

  • Assemble a diverse team of experts to conduct research and develop evidence-based policy recommendations.

  • Promote inclusion in research and policy development by ensuring input from underrepresented groups.

  • Develop a comprehensive marketing and communication strategy to raise awareness about the coalition's work.

  • Share success stories and progress with the community to inspire further engagement.

Goal 2: High Functioning Data Driven Organization

Objectives:

  • Establish clear and inclusive policies and procedures that guide the coalition's operations.

  • Create Data Collection and Analysis Framework

  • Ensure transparency and accountability in all organizational activities.

  • Develop, review, and update the coalition's bylaws to align with current needs and goals.

  • Promote transparency in responsibilities and expectations.

  • Foster a culture of shared leadership and mutual support.

  • Identify and partner with a 501(c)(3) sponsor to strengthen the coalition’s nonprofit infrastructure.

  • Plan for a 501(c)(4) lobbying arm in later years to focus on lobbying and advocacy efforts.

Goal 3: Network of Partnerships Fostering Racial Justice & Equal Access

Objectives:

  • Build collaborative relationships with justice systems, healthcare agencies, government agencies, legislatures, and community partners.

  • Foster alliances that share the coalition's vision of racial justice and equal access.

  • Work in partnership with external organizations to advance shared goals.

  • Collaborate on data collection and analysis with mission-aligned organizations.

Goal 4: Strengthening Unity through Cultural Exchange & Financial Empowerment

Objectives:

  • Host in-person gatherings to foster fellowship and celebrate shared history.

  • Address systemic financial inequities through collaborative economic initiatives.

Goal 5: A Victim-Centered Approach Supporting Those Impacted by Inequality, Racism, and Health Disparities

Objectives:

  • Collaborate to strengthen care systems for victims of inequality, racism, and health disparities, including advocating for reparations initiatives and supporting reparations bills as they move forward.

  • Identify and address emerging issues impacting marginalized communities, ensuring timely advocacy and support.

  • Advocate for victim-centered policies and comprehensive systems that address systemic injustices, health inequities, and local community needs.

Goal 6: Preserve Art and Culture

Objectives:

  • Explore the use of art, culture, and storytelling as tools for raising awareness and promoting unity.

  • Organize and support cultural events, exhibits, and performances to celebrate the rich heritage of both communities and their contributions to social justice movements.
