The Unity Coalition will meet in person for a Volunteer Clean Up & Play Day on Saturday, April 19th, at 9:30 AM at Lake Merritt.
Here is the April 19th Itinerary:
9:30 AM - 11 AM - Lake Merritt volunteer clean-up shift
11 AM - 1 PM - Picnic lunch at the lake
1 PM - 3 PM - Boating
Meet us at the Lake Merritt Institute office at 9:30 AM for a two to three-hour lake clean-up shift.

After our clean-up shift, we will have a picnic-style lunch; folks are free to grab food from a local maker and return to the group to eat. There are many fantastic food options to choose from around the lake!

The Grand Lake Farmers Market is every Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM. The Market features over 40 local farmers, 30 specialty food purveyors, and a handful of local artisans.

After we eat, we will be boating!
No certification is required for pedal, canoe, rowboat, and kayak rentals.
Boat Rentals require a CASH ONLY deposit of $20-$30 plus the first hour's cash rental fee.

We suggest wearing comfortable clothing and shoes; gloves are provided for the clean-up.
