1:00 pm - 3:30 pm PST: Choose from a variety of afternoon breakout sessions covering:
Parole Policy and Legislation: Join the policy teams from UnCommon Law, Ella Baker Center, and CCWP to learn about recent changes in the law and legislation with bearing on the discretionary parole process, as well as other avenues for relief available to some people serving life sentences, like clemency, felony murder resentencing, and 1170(d) resentencing.
Special Parole Considerations: Join our attorneys to learn about special parole considerations including Youth Offender Parole, Elderly Parole, Medical Parole, and Non-Violent Parole.
Supporting a Loved One Through the Parole Process: Join our parole success advocates and attorneys in learning about how to support your loved one through the parole process to help them achieve success, both in front of the Board and when they come home.
What Happens after a Parole Hearing: Join our attorneys to learn about the intricacies of the decision review process and the many stages after a parole hearing, whether the outcome is a grant, denial, or a split decision.
